“ It took over a year for me and Gayle to return to Sumi Sushi after a particularly memorable Yelp Elite event here. The rules are that you review the event, and then the restaurant later. That takes the "free food" factor out of the review equation. And why did we wait so long? Maybe that's one of life's many mysteries. We came here last night with Darling Granddaughter, who loves Sushi. On this Sunday night, the place was hopping, but with enough capacity to be seated at a nice lower table near the front. The Sushi was fresh and tasty, the service was prompt and attentive (including the owner), the portions were generous, pricing was consistent with the quality and quantity, and we left full and happy. So compared to the previous visit? Same as it ever was! Tip: The Sushi comes out quickly, but for those who order something "Off Nigiri" (like a Teriyaki Plate), you might have to wait a little longer. ”

Reno-style AYCE sushi is kinda its own thing compared to trad style sushiyas in CA, but I like it for what it is -- good fish, quality service, accessible rolls, all tucked in a lively sushi bar setting on the side street of downtown Carson. “ We missed the Yelp Elite event here, and we heard it was the BEST event, so we wanted to give it a try. The place gets crowded quickly, but they are efficient in getting people seated and getting the sushi made. We sat right in front of one of the sushi chefs, and everyone was busy making sushi. Service is fast, so order a bunch of stuff on your first order. When the server is free, all how the restaurant got its name...lol. ”

“ This is a good casual sushi restaurant with friendly service. The all you can eat option comes with appetizers and dessert. Lunch was $30.95 per person. The nigiri sushi had very large pieces of fish... a little too big for one bite in my opinion, but the fish tasted fresh and the rice was cooked well. We also had a couple of long rolls, my favorite was the spider roll. It had carrot and pickled daikon along with the soft shell crab inside. We enjoyed the scallop and the mussel appetizers. They also have a couple of creative desserts included with the all you can eat menu. We tried the Strawberry Fields roll. It was yummy but if you've already had your fill of rice from all the all you can eat sushi you might want to skip this dessert. They offer several flavors of ice cream you could choose from instead. Note: This restaurant doesn't have its own parking lot but street parking is easy to find all around the block. ”
